La Comisión Europea bajó ligeramente el martes sus proyecciones de crecimiento para la zona euro, apostando a un margen de entre 0,3% y 0,8% del PIB en el tercer trimestre, de 0,2% a 0,8% en el cuarto trimestre y de 0,2% a 0,9% en el primer trimestre de 2008.
En sus anteriores proyecciones, difundidas el 12 de julio, los márgenes eran de 0,4% a 0,8% del Producto Interno Bruto (PIB) para el tercer trimestre y de 0,3% a 0,8% en el cuarto trimestre de este año.
Las proyecciones, realizadas según un modelo matemático basado en indicadores económicos, son diferentes de las "previsiones" publicadas cuatro veces por año por el Ejecutivo europeo.
